The students are loving this story...we listen to it while looking at the book pages...but I'm sure they will love hearing it without the book, also!
(This is from last year's class...the 2015-2016 class has not listened to Pete the Cat yet...but we will soon!)

I finally gathered the whole afternoon class for their group picture!

This morning we went with the rest of Schneider to watch the marching band/color guard perform on the football field; the children loved it!

 Jasper worked on eye-hand coordination with the magnetic puzzle.

 There was dancing, singing, and rhythm sticks!

 Our snack area is a choice during our 60 minutes of independent center activities. This was a lucky chocolate milk day :)  but typically the milk is white.

 Andrue worked at the writing center while Jasper loved the science cards.

 Ellie was tutoring Isabella in foam stickers while Bradley looked on.

Officer Davis Stops By for a Visit!

We are lucky enough to have a police officer working in our school district and today she dropped by to introduce herself to my morning class...she will also be stopping by in the afternoon.
Her name is Officer Davis and she is a friendly face in the Schneider halls!

School Is About To Start!

Hello!
I have been working in the classroom and can't wait to see my students come in and enjoy it! I hope you all had a great summer!
Parents, you are welcome to attend the first day of school with your Pre-K student this year!
The students will come in with their chaperone, get acquainted with the classroom, find their cubby, meet the teachers, etc... Then the children will have a short recess while I have a meeting with the parents...afterwards, the students will return and we will begin our day with a fairly normal routine. At this point, parents are welcome to stay and finish out the day with their child.
AM Class Arrival Time: Meet with rest of school in cafeteria between 8-8:10 (there is a designated pre-k table)
Dismissal Time: 10:50
PM Class Arrival Time: 12:30, at school's front doors
Dismissal Time: 3:00

Happy Birthday to Presley!

 Presley (morning class) turned 4 today!

 She brought ice cream treats to share during snack time!

P.S. These treats are great for the peanut free guidelines.
