Sweet Andrue!! We played hard outside today and then came in for music and story time...I glanced over and he was fast asleep!
The rest of the class stayed awake :)
Important Dates!
The firefighters will be here on Wednesday, October 18. We always look forward to their visit! They will teach us to Stop, Drop, and Roll...show us the fire truck...and sometimes they even let us try out the fire hose!
(Just found out the fire fighters have postponed. I'll post the new date when I find out.)

Week of March 17
We've had a fun week closing down our hot cocoa stand and opening up a post office!
The students have enjoyed writing letters to each other and placing them in the appropriate mail slots.
Several students chose to paint with watercolors this week.
George and Madelyn worked hard to build a structure.
Letter writing :)
We welcomed a new student to our afternoon class!
Sadie was a fabulous post officer.
Addison worked diligently to recreate the Eric Carle pictures from the story, "Brown Bear, Brown
Bear, What do you see?"
My children's school district began their spring break today...so one of my daughters came in to help. She showed some of the students some new techniques on the Smart Board.
Lots of postal workers...
They love the snack center!
Austin wrote his name beautifully!!
Working together on puzzles.
Tennille encouraged them to try different materials with their art projects.
Measuring and pouring at the water table
Aerilyn and Kendyl made tall Lego buildings.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
The children were so excited to leave their shoe in the hallway as a way to lure the leprechaun into our classroom...
This is our bulletin board in the school hallway...the heading is "Pre-K Treasure"...
We've been saying this poem in class.
Some of my morning friends wanted to make pots of gold with their playdoh.
The afternoon class also left their shoe out...we couldn't believe the leprechaun was so tricky! He left a note, gold glitter on the shoes and a gold candy for each one!
Some of the afternoon leprechauns :)
We are missing Kamdyn, but otherwise a full PM Class picture.

Red Cross visit
We were fortunate to have the Red Cross come and present child-friendly facts on germ busting and hand washing.
The children put a special cream on, washed their hands, then had a black light shine on their hands. The light showed the germs that did not get washed off. The students were very interested and polite during the visit.

Substitute
Just wanted to let you know I will not be in the classroom Thursday or Friday (March 13-14). We are conducting Pre-K screenings. There will be a substitute teacher with the children on those days.
